- An old man's laughter

- A young girl's laugh
- A woman's laugh
- A young boy's laugh
- Monster's laugh

In a short paper but in proper essay form, tell me how you modified your laugh to achieve the final products. Be really precise. For example, don't just tell me, I moved the pitch up. Instead tell me, I moved the pitch up from F to C#. (Audacity tells you this when you select the change of pitch) For extra credit (1 more point for this assignment), come up with 3 kinds of laughter that is different from the list above. Again, don't forget to tell me how you modified your laugh.

What's the difference between an old woman's cackle and a witch's laugh?
What about a young boy's laugh and a young girl's laugh? They sound very similar, assuming we're talking about prepubescent children.
What do you mean by a 'cartoon laugh'? A cartoon ___?
is this considered a response paper assignment or ?
Hi Adam and Ben,
An old woman's cackle would sound more human whereas a witch's laugh would sound more witch-like. Think of witches in movies and plays. As for the young boy and girl's laugh, you're right they will be almost identical so just treat them as one or the other. Just choose 1 to record. Finally, a cartoon laugh would be any cartoon character's laugh. Think a cartoon dog, a cartoon cat etc. anything you can think of. You can also choose to imitate existing cartoons such as Woody Woodpecker.
Ben, this is considered a response paper assignment and it will be out of 5 points.
